Job Title: Echo Tech Cardiac Sonographer Pediatrics Job Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (07:00 - 15:30) Guaranteed Hours: Experience: 3 years of experience required License: Valid license required at the time of submittal Certifications: BCLS, RDCS-Adult, RCS Must-Have: - Proficient in echocardiograms - Experience with equipment/scanner: Phillips - Echo procedure experience: Bubble Study, Contract Agents, Pharmacologic and Treadmill Stress Echoes Job Description: - Perform quality echocardiograms for both inpatient and outpatient services. - Ensure proficiency in structural echocardiograms; experience is a plus. - Learn and adhere to protocols, with competencies signed off within 1-2 days. - Rotating weekends required every 4th to 6th weekend; may include a Saturday or Sunday in between. - On-call requirements, including specific overnight and weekend coverage. - Ability to float based on business needs, patient census, and staffing. - Main pediatric locations, with cross-coverage at various sites as necessary. - Daily caseload of approximately 7 per tech. - Open to first-time professionals in this role. - Equipped to handle both pediatric and adult cases. - All pediatric sonographers evaluated and signed off by a Pediatric Cardiologist. - Work involves traveling, requiring personal transportation. - Familiarity with epic charting preferred. - Completion of EKG test at 84% or higher required on the first day for relevant areas.
